01Roof and Escape

Nobody has shown a finished escape yet, so we can't tell you the ending. What's confirmed: the game description asks "will you wait for rescue, or risk everything for a way out?", the lobby has a Successful Evacuations board next to Total Days Survived, and on Day 28 one run's objective was "The roof": open lift 2's landing door on 30, climb the shaft ladder, undo the machine room hatch with a wrench and go out onto the roof.

02Floors

30 Floors Up has 30 floors, and you start at the top: your apartment is on floor 30 (the doors read 3002 and so on). Objectives in a long player run take you down: the lift 2 shaft to floor 28, the management office on 27, a landing on 26, June's community kitchen on 19 and a clinic on 11. Going up, the lift shaft ladder leads to the machine room and the roof. We haven't seen floors 1 to 10 or the ground.

03Food and Water

Fill the cleaning bucket in the bathtub while the taps still run and put it on the metal water rack in the living room. Then carry every food item to the pantry, where a counter shows your portions. Tins need a can opener. On Day 1 open the guide's Rations page to see how long it all lasts.

04Day by Day

The objective at the top right changes every day, and each one is a lesson. Night 0: store water and let Daniel in. Day 1: keep watch, stay quiet and keep the door locked. Day 2: fill every container before the taps stop. Day 3: prepare the entrance and brace it. Day 4: a quiet day, power's gone. Day 6: collect rainwater. Day 8: keep the home running. That's the first 8 days of 100.

05Neighbors

The neighbors in 30 Floors Up are talkable characters, and the game's own pitch says to help them. We've met Daniel (knocks on Night 0), Ruth and Sam Okafor, Mara (across the balcony gap, with a radio), Arthur Hale (the roof key), Eli (hiding, wants the hallway checked) and Ward (a voice on the relay band). Always check the peephole first.

06Game Passes

30 Floors Up has 10 game passes on Roblox. The cheapest is Shove at 99 Robux, the priciest is Locksmith at 1,299. Infinite Stamina (249) stops sprinting from draining stamina, Spoon (499) lets you eat tinned food without a can opener, and the two Save Slot passes (999 each) add extra campaign slots.

07Controls

E picks up, opens or talks. F eats or drinks (hold) and unlocks the front door. R looks through the peephole, T hooks the door chain, Q puts an item away, X drops it, 1 to 4 take an item, Tab shows the objectives, B opens the book. H shoves, but only with the Shove pass.

08Day 9 to 38

After the first week the objectives get bigger. Day 11: smoke over the river, keep the balcony door shut. Day 12: close the east fire door with a hammer. Day 14: they move in groups, so prepare for a crowd. Day 20: get Arthur Hale out on floor 28. Day 28: the roof. Days 31 to 32: down Stair A. Days 34 to 36: the people below. Day 38: June's kitchen on floor 19. Fix the Stair B barrier before Day 40.

09Difficulty and Lobbies

In the lobby you step on a pad to create a group, and the Create a Group window has four choices: Players (1 to 4), Difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard), Access (Public or Friends only) and Campaign (New saved game, or Temporary, which plays without saving). Normal is marked "the intended balance. Recommended." Friends only means only the host's Roblox friends can join.
